My friend is selling this stunning MG K2 Magnette, which he has owned for many years and has restored it's unique body with sympathy to the style, and to a high standard. It has a new hood and tonneau cover. The old style log book is available and the car has VSCC Buff Form & FIA Historic Vehicle Identity Form.
Much work has been carried out professionally and to a very high standard.
ChassisSprings refurbished, new trunnions & pins, new brake cables, brake shoes relined, new brake cams, new king pins, overhauled steering box and shock absorbers.
Body Original body sympathetically restored, retrimmed. New hood & tonneau.
EngineNew steel crankshaft & rods. Flywheel with new ring gear lightened and balanced. New liners (standard bores) and pistons. Block & cylinder head refaced. New valve seat inserts, valves, guides,springs rockers and bushes.
Torrington bearing copper head gasket. New head studs. Main bearings remetalled. Big ends VW/Audi shells. Spin off oil filter. Volumex supercharger. Recently resleeved to standard bore and new pistons fitted. It will need running in.
Transmission New gearbox bearings. Clutch overhauled. New propshaft.
Rear AxleNew bearings, crownwheel & pinion. New half shafts.
ElectricalRewired. New voltage regulator. Dynamo overhauled with rewound armature and field coils. Starter moltor overhauled. Flashing indicators and hazard lights fitted. New petrol pump.
CoolingNew radiator and hoses.
